Dr. Margrate SHAFFER

Dr. SHAFFER got her PhD from the University of Texas Arlington, USA. She has 22 years of teaching experience and 20 years of corporate experience.  She is the Richard C. Notebaert Distinguished Chair of International Business and Global Studies at the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business, the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM). Before joining UWM, she lived and worked in Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region of China, for 11 years. She was a professor of management at the Hong Kong Baptist University, where she continues to teach as an adjunct professor.  She also taught at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she was involved in the administration of the Doctor of Business Administration programme. She is an active researcher in the areas of expatriation and cross-cultural organizational behavior, and she has published extensively in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, and the Journal of International Business Studies.
